In this test, the sensor will validate end-to-end network connectivity on the specified SSID or the ethernet connection. The purpose of this test is to verify internet access and if a problem occurs, to isolate where the fault was.
The test performs the following steps:
- Connect to the wireless network
- Obtain an IP address from DHCP
- Ping default gateway
- Ping DNS server
- Ping an internet IP address
- Resolve an internet hostname
- Ping internet hostname
¶ Configurable Test Parameters
Ping gateway, Ping DNS server. Disable these options for networks where pings are not allowed. Public IP, Hostname.

Auto - The sensor will connect to the closest AP based on current RF environment
Test Multiple APs - the sensor will connect to up to 6 different APs (one per test interval in round-robin fashion) when running the test.
Specific AP - The sensor will connect to the user-specified radio of an AP
Band Restriction - The sensor will connect to the strongest AP on specified frequency band
