¶ Introduction
The Wyebot sensor model WIS4400 supports client network testing functionality on the 6GHz band. This article shows how to enable 6GHz network tests.
¶ Add 6Ghz SSIDs
Before we can test the 6GHz SSIDs, they must be configured with credentials on the My Networks page. To add 6GHz SSID credentials, follow the same process you would have done for any other SSIDs when your sensors were set up initially. Step-by-step instructions can be found in this guide.
¶ Configuring Tests for 6GHz
Enabling 6GHz connections is done when adding a Network Test profile, accessed by clicking the Network Tests tab and selecting Add Test Profile...
A WiFi test can be configured to run against a 6GHz SSID by using either of the following methods:
- Set the AP Selection to Auto and set the Band to 6GHz
- Set the AP Selection to Test Multiple APs and set the Band to either All or 6GHz
¶ Unsupported Features
- The Test Specific AP feature cannot be used to select a 6GHz radio for testing. This will be addressed in a future release.
- APs that use the Multiple BSSID information element to advertise more than one SSID in a 6GHz beacon may not supported by the sensor depending on the AP vendor's implementation. This will be improved in a future release.
